Maybe about once or twice a week my fiance loves to pick up a movie from our Redbox machine. This past week he rented The Accountant.
Straight from rotten tomatoes, this is what the movie is about, “Christian Wolff (Ben Affleck) is a math savant with more affinity for numbers than people. Behind the cover of a small-town CPA office, he works as a freelance accountant for some of the world’s most dangerous criminal organizations. With the Treasury Department’s Crime Enforcement Division, run by Ray King (J.K. Simmons), starting to close in, Christian takes on a legitimate client: a state-of-the-art robotics company where an accounting clerk (Anna Kendrick) has discovered a discrepancy involving millions of dollars. But as Christian uncooks the books and gets closer to the truth, it is the body count that starts to rise.”
So I won’t spoil it for those of you who haven’t seen it yet, but I think that movie was pretty good. It scored 51% for all the critics on RT and a 78% from the audience.
In the beginning of the movie(also shown in the previews so I’m not spoiling anything) Christian as a child solves a puzzle upside down which I thought was so crazy brilliant and even though it’s a movie I still thought it was badass! Anyways my score would be an 8 out of 10. Reason being a lot of the scenes were pretty predictable, but it was still entertaining.
